In Between

Spring is almost over.
The leaves are turning yellow,
flowers have dried,
and fruits have fallen.

Yet the remnants of spring
still linger in quiet corners.

Like the transition between seasons,
my life too feels caught at a crossroads—
everything suspended in between,
without a name or direction.

I am waiting for fall.
I want to be as brave as the trees,
shedding all their foliage,
standing tall as bare skeletons—
ready to face the harsh winter.

Sometimes you have to let go
of your past and your worries,
strip yourself down to the core,
and face the harsh winter—
to survive what’s ahead,
and to begin again.
